Privacy policy

What we collect

Nothing is collected automatically. MultiAuto has no account system, server, cloud sync, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking, telemetry, or background upload. We do not know that you use the app unless you choose to contact support.

What stays on your device

MultiAuto stores the settings needed to use the app on your device, including:

• The Wi-Fi adapter host.
• The Wi-Fi adapter port.
• Whether demo mode is enabled.

Vehicle profiles, recordings, custom dashboards, and diagnostic reports you create are stored on your device only, in the app's local storage. They are never uploaded and are deleted when you delete the app or clear data in Settings. MultiAuto has no account records, cloud storage, or synced history.

Vehicle data

Live readings, trouble codes, freeze frame, readiness information, and VIN are read through the local connection between your iPhone and the Wi-Fi adapter. Recordings, exports, and reports are created only when you ask and stay on your device unless you share them. Vehicle data is never uploaded to us.

Demo mode uses simulated data, is clearly labeled, and works without a network connection or permission.

Purchases

MultiAuto Pro is an auto-renewing subscription processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your payment details, and buying Pro does not create an account with us or add any tracking, analytics, or advertising. Apple provides us only the anonymous, aggregate sales and subscription reports it gives every developer. Restoring purchases re-checks your subscription with Apple; no personal data leaves your device to us.

Support emails

If you write to juanquenga@gmail.com, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send through your email provider. The app does not create or attach a diagnostic bundle.

• Purpose. We use support correspondence only to answer the request and investigate the issue described. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, sell it, or add the sender to a mailing list.
• Processing. Email is delivered and stored by the sender's and recipient's email providers in the ordinary course of providing email service.
• Retention. We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for answering the request or tracking the reported issue. You may ask us to delete it by writing to the same address.

Permissions we ask for

Local Network

Requested only when you connect to a real Wi-Fi ELM327 adapter. It allows MultiAuto to reach the adapter's local TCP endpoint.

This is the only permission MultiAuto requests. The app does not request Bluetooth, location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or tracking permission. Demo mode works with zero permissions.

A caution about Wi-Fi adapters

Many Wi-Fi ELM327 adapters create a local network without internet access, and some use no password. MultiAuto communicates with the adapter over plain local TCP because that is the interface the hardware exposes. Someone within Wi-Fi range could potentially join an unsecured adapter network, so unplug the adapter when you finish.

Children

MultiAuto is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. The only information we receive is what a person deliberately sends by email.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
